This movie tells it like it is and challenges teens to step out of their comfort zone and social groups to help others who are lost, lonely and hurting. The acting is good, the message is great - everyone will relate to one of the characters in this film.

It was so refreshing to see this film! So often the teen movies that come out of Hollywood are shallow and lack the depth that is portrayed in "To Save a Life". Usually these types of films are totally unrealistic and show teens engaging in risky behaviors with no consequences to themselves or others. However, this film was different. "To Save a Life" tackles tough topics that teens are facing today and offers hope and compassion to those who are hurting. I especially liked the character of Chris (the youth leader) because he was a great role model to the teens in the film and hopefully will be an example to kids who see the film as well. In an age where most kids are coming from broken homes and do not have many positive models in their lives this is a film that will move hearts and offer hope to those who are hurting.

I am a youth worker and I saw this movie with our youth pastor and a few of our other youth workers. The story is amazing and it really hits all the things that teens struggle with today. We are taking our entire youth group to the movie and I know so many of them that will relate to this and want to make changes in their lives because of it. Everyone will relate to someone in this movie! Make sure every teen you know sees this movie!

After seeing a pre-screening of the film, I was struck with the importance of getting teens, their parents, adults (teachers, coaches, youth pastors, bosses, etc.) to see this film. The world of teenagers is often viewed by adults in generic ways while in actuality it is more complex than any of us understand or know how to cope with. This film sheds light on this dilemma. However, rather than leaving us with a sense of hopelessness for how to turn the tide that is crashing down on our adolescents, it reminds us that no matter the circumstance, something can be done. The film is fun, engaging, thought-provoking, relevant, challenging, and honest. We watch as a young man wrestles with the meaning of life and how his own life will have any impact on others. What teen is not thinking of these issues on some level? We adults should learn to sit on the doorstep of teen-life, watching, listening, and learning. Teens need us and this film helps us begin to be there for them. Go SEE it.
